Doll Repair

Repaints, Re blushing

Limb and Eye Changes

My repaint experience began with various Barbie dolls (as much as I hate to mention that doll's name in Crissy territory!

Needless to say, I tend to focus on even the smallest details:

1960's Skipper reroot, repainted to have Green eyes with an opposing side glance from the original... tangerine lips!

I stand behind my tested reliable repaint methods with a guarantee that it will last the life of your doll.(Unless you decide to change them again!)

All areas to be painted have the original paint completely removed. I paint freehand without the aid of templates or airbrushing equiptment. I use high quality artist products that are designed for this type of painting .All repaints are sealed .

I can repaint a doll back to the original look or with an eye / lip color variation look. You can even choose a picture/photograph of a person for me to use as a model. The only thing I won't do is copy someone else's repaint.

Full face repaint is $35.00 (for painted eye dolls). Lip /mouth only repaint is $15.00. It takes a minimum of 5 days to complete one of these repaints due to proper drying time between layers. A repaint done too quickly will eventually result in the paint "balling up" and peeling, even if it has been well sealed.

Cinnie now with green/hazel eyes and rerooted with a "big girl doo"

This Crissy has been given a darker "goth" look with what I call my "sweetheart"

    mouth.

This Dina has been given a softer , more feminine look.

This Velvet's lips have been re-painted to look fuller in a pretty rose-punch color.

This Velevet's lips have been repainted to appear "plumped up" with teeth added.

We can almost see the tongue in this doe eyed Kerry's mouth :)

    Reblushing!

"Cheek rub" is a fairly common problem with the Crissy Family members. To repair this, I completely remove the original blush and then reblush in a permanent manner.I use a myriad of natural colors to do this taking care to match the doll's overall coloring.

Re blushing is $6.00 , but can not be done well with dolls that have excessive scratches on their cheeks.

Even tan dolls like Dina regain a certain glow after a re blush.

Same is true of this AA Crissy

(Repaint by Renae , re blush by Melissa)

Another pretty AA re blush ,

lips repainted a copper rose by Melissa

This Velvet has been given "high color" to give her a "sun kissed " look

    Eye changes!

Eye changes are done in a professional manner without ever cutting or harming the original vinyl in any way. I've spent a lot of time and energy developing the driest method possible allowing for eye changes even in dolls that may have already been re rooted with heat sensitive hair. I am able to provide any of the more common original Crissy family eyes for $10.00 which includes the actual eye change . Cricket and Tressy eyes would have to be provided by you , the eye change would then be $5.00 (again you can ask if I might have a pair or two of these at any given time ).

    Limb Changes

I can provide just about any Caucasian body part . However, I don't have a lot of AA (especially Tara!) and original Cricket bodies laying around :). I charge $4.50 per common arm /leg ($9.00) per pair .Again e-mail to discuss changing out rarer doll parts.
